I have done door to door before and I really didnt like it. However some people are comfortable with doing that but its hard work.

I would reccommend that you put that energy that you would have used on door to door to learn how to use the internet to generate targeted leads.

That's how I now get leads for my business. You might want to check out this free video - http://www.mlmsuccesstrainingsite.com/?t=YA

Here's the thing. Door to door is annoying, frustrating, and doesn't generate a lot of interest. A lot of network marketers claim that you should only go to people you know, and that is a good way to start. If you don't want to bug your family, go to acquaintances.

Apart from that, here is a method that has worked like magic for me and my fiance: Don't go door to door in homes, but visit small businesses. Contact the owners, and tell them about your exciting opportunity for entrepreneurs. Do this in a very professional and businesslike fashion. Offering a business opportunity to a business owner is much easier that going to a random person's house and offering it.

I am assuming you are talking about finding new enrollees rather than customers for your product. If you are looking for customers, door to door would be an OK approach.

This article I wrote has some more tips: http://voices.yahoo.com/surviving-first-month-network-marketing-11327380.html?cat=35

Hope that helps!
