Hi to all

I am looking at starting some sort of email marketing to advertise my new business.

I am looking for any recommendations or advise any one could give.

This industry seems to be open for abuse, is there any scams I should look out for.

Thanks

Email is a very powerful marketing tool. In spite of spammers abusing the medium, email can still be used and is still valued by users for timely, rich and enticing information and advertisements.

Email marketing (on the Internet) is popular with companies for several reasons:

1) An exact return on investment can be tracked ("track to basket") and has proven to be high when done properly. Email marketing is often reported as second only to search marketing as the most effective online marketing tactic.

2) Advertisers can reach substantial numbers of email subscribers who have opted in (i.e., consented) to receive email communications on subjects of interest to them.

3) Over half of Internet users check or send email on a typical day.

4) Email is popular with digital marketers, rising an estimated 15% in 2009 to £292m in the UK.

Hi Bob

You don't mention the line of business or what you are hoping to sell or promote. But if email marketing is new to you, and you have a product or brand with wide appeal, you should consider starting off by using a free or low cost program such as a Text Ad Exchange (TAE). Most TAEs offer permission based email marketing services - which means that you will send your emails to a confirmed member list, thereby avoiding accusations of spamming. And because most have both free and very reasonably priced lifetime upgrades, you can afford to play around, try different approaches, test the general effect and results of your sales pitches.

This is the link to my Text Ad Exchange (I am 50% owner), new but growing well. You're welcome to join for free and take a look around.

whilst a clean technique of starting to be nails is invented, do all nail makers swap over to it thoroughly? No the fees of modern-day capital equipment are already locked in and that's clever to maintain producing through skill of the previous technique till those machines positioned on out. people have a extensive inventory or hardware, utility, and technical information interior the homestead windows surroundings. Even it that's greater effective to apply Linux changing and procuring new hardware, utility and technical information would not make experience as against to maintain utilising what has already been paid for. as properly homestead windows is pre-put in, and the barrier to a typical man or woman attempting to place in that's skill failure and entire documents loss. whilst they do get it put in they do no longer understand a thank you to maintain it, troubleshoot it, or perhaps set up applications. additionally Linux and different FOSS utility isn't a great way greater advantageous to option utility in each way. the place that's, FOSS OS's genuinely dominate the marketplace. (cellular, embeded, servers, and intense-overall performance clusters) you have additionally neglected the history the place Linux stomped throughout commercial UNIX;s. (after some intense scalability artwork that became into carried out int he 2.4 sequence) the certainty is that desktops are fairly problematical to do correct simply by fact people assume them to be like minded with all of their modern-day hardware and utility. Linux merely would not do this. Hardware in many circumstances must be carefully chosen, and a few courses that would desire to adequate replace merely do no longer run on linux.
