Question:
Job interview at New Look?

I have a job interview at New Look on Monday.
The woman on the phone said to me that there will be a short group activity and then a short one to one session. I asked her if the dress code was formal or casual (as I would be at college and I would be going in my free periods). Luckily, she told me it was casual and to wear something fashionable. (Wahey! :D) The only thing I am worried about is the interview...
What questions will they ask?
How am I supposed to answer these questions?
Should I give constant eye contact or would it be 'too intense'?
I have been trying to think of possible questions and answers for them. I want this job more than anything, the hours are perfect and I love New Look too! I think this role would be perfect for me! It has taken me ages to get to interview stage and I just want them to see my personality and what I could bring to their shop.
If you have got any tips, please tell me. Thanks :D

Product knowledge is necessary for all sales associates.

Getting a job is not all about having experience, but rather saying the right things in an interview. Preparing for the interview by doing a little research is very important. By understanding the business operations and knowing the products, this will enhance your chances during the interview in landing a job as a retail sales associate.

Day-to-Day Operations

One question that is often asked in retail is: "What can you tell me about our store?" Be prepared to explain the history or insight of the business and the services offered to the public. For instance, if you are interviewed at Walgreens, advise the interviewer that the store is "one of the fastest growing drugstores, offering pharmaceutical, healthcare and beauty products." This type of information is located on a store's website.

Product Knowledge

The interviewer might ask about product knowledge: "Do you know what we sell and what products we offer?" Rather than answering "Yes," briefly explain a few items you have purchased at the store or items you have browsed on the store's website. A good answer is mentioning brand names and trendy styles. Start with broad items and narrow it down to specific names. "Your store sells designer shoes from top names like Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Alexander McQueen."

Strengths and Weaknesses

A universal question that is often asked is "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" Practice answering this question before going to the interview, but don't sound rehearsed. Finding a good answer is easy if you are honest. "My strengths are being available and dependable. Whereas, my weaknesses are perfectionism and being hard on myself to avoid making mistakes." This answer shows a strength in having a good working performance.

Why Work Here?

Retail stores have a lot of openings and do a lot of hiring. A common question asked from a retail store interviewer is: "Why do you want to work here?" For some job seekers, the obvious answer is to receive store discounts. A honest way to phrase this answer is saying something that describes your confidence in selling products that you endorse and wanting to work towards advancement. Interviewers often want to hear about your long-term goal.

The most important thing is to sell yourself. Don't lie, but look for answers that are only positive. In example, right now if you don't have a job, they'll ask you why. Your answer would be school. Perfect. They probably will ask what you've been doing since your last job, again school is your answer. They may ask why you want to work there. If you are going because a job is a job, you'll need to find a reason... "I believe I would be of help to your company, and this seems to be a job I would enjoy" if it's your dream job, that question wont be a problem. Dress for the job you want, not the job you're going to settle for, unless this is it. I've never heard of it. In example, I've worked at fast food, never have i showed up for an interview in Jeans. It's always been office attire. Also, be confidant. But not over confidant=cocky. Google more possible interview questions.
