write them up and inform them after 3 write ups they are gone. If they want to keep there job this will sink in that they are about to lose it.

Hopefully you are reviewing this person's performance on a regular basis. Is this something that is reviewed and a corrective plan put into place to address?

Have you asked them why they don't complete their reports and have you given them a reason why these reports are important to the company?

If this sales person is paid a bonus, make a meaningful % attributable to his administrative responsibilities.

Finally, if this person is just being stubborn, suspend him/her for a week without pay to emphasize the importance of this responsibility. If there is no improvement after that, your only alternative is to terminate.

Keep this in mind, as the top sales person, they are settting an example for others. If he/she doesn't do it, why should I???

You don't want this to become an issue with the entire team.

give them an last ultimatum of minimum 6 hours , and if they dont come up with results ask management to fire them as there are many youth out there in search of jobs
